Shifters (presented by Pokemon's Unown/Unknown)

Restricted.

Considered one of the oldest breeds in the Mystics, Shifters have been around almost as long as the gods reportedly have. Unlimited in its ability to change shape, Shifters use themselves to their best advantage in catching prey. Territorial they rarely interact with one another, often clashing and violent regardless of gender. They are decisively barbaric and evil, by some's standards, as the only observed docile responses occured in spring time or when not bothered with hunger.

The natural shape of these creatures is some form of symbolic eye.

History

Whispers speak of the Shifters as though they are the eyes and tooth of the gods, the hoplites of the Mystics. They also speak of them as a blight, a danger that makes the Mystics inhabitable. Encountering a Shifter and leaving unscathed is as rare as finding a natural snowfall in the desert's hottest month...

When a group of scientists invaded the Mystics, some Shifters had been captured from the nest and used to develop several products, and in the process, the Shifters had been broken down into two new races that now flourish in the Mystics and greater Faerune: Formiana (Shapeshifters) and Cienianas (Shadowshifters).
